Welcome February!

February carries with it a different kind of stillness.

January is about greeting the New Year gently but February feels like settling in. The days are still short, and the mornings often grey (and foggy around here! 😅). Yet there is a subtle shift happening beneath the surface. The days are drawing out just that bit longer. The dawn chorus – and birdsong in general – is much more lively. The garden — though resting — no longer feels entirely asleep.

Pop out in our garden here in our little corner of the English countryside and it is easy to notice some gradual changes. Snowdrops pushing through cold soil. Hellebores opening slowly, unfazed by frost. There is hope in the air!

This month I still find myself craving simplicity. Fewer plans. Warmer layers. Soup simmering gently and candles still lit before dusk. Not for show but for comfort. Indoors, I’m drawn to mindful moments — tidying a shelf, refreshing a room with a vase full of early daffodils mixed with hellebores. Pressing pause when the world begins to feel a little too hurried again.

On the gardening front, February is a month of quiet preparation. Seed packets are still spread across the table. Ideas half-formed and pencilled in lightly. I slowly begin to prepare the flower beds on days when the relentless rain has eased off. But there is no rush. I like to let plans breathe — to allow space for intuition and for the season itself to guide what comes next.

Using products like these feels so fulfilling to me — thoughtful, practical choices that are kinder to our homes, our bodies, and the planet.

This time of year can feel heavy —  especially after the brightness of the festive season faded a while ago. I’m to find beauty in the moment —  what already ‘is’ rather than what’s yet to come or has been.

As the weeks unfold, this space will continue to provide you with a bit of respite — seasonal garden notes, floral moments, cosy interiors, and a way of living that values intention, warmth, and quiet joys.

I hope that February brings you a few moments of calm and the comfort of knowing that even in the slowest season, something beautiful is always there if you stop to take it all in.

With love,

Tasha 🌷
